The Story Behind How Ever After Farms Got Started
Ever After Farms began when the founders saw the popularity of wedding barns sweeping the Sunshine State but were surprised to discover that none of the existing Barns had absolutely everything couples wanted in a rustic chic barn venue. So they set out to find a farm that could be one.
They started their property search looking for a needle in a haystack. The land had to be absolutely beautiful. It needed to be centrally located but also be completely secluded. It needed to have a pond for pictures and a gigantic oak tree for couples to give their vows under. And most importantly, all of it had to be a bona-fide commercial farm.
After a very long quest, they found a private, 17 acre blueberry farm for sale. The acres of blueberries looked like a vineyard, creating a very romantic and beautiful setting. It was centrally located; just 50 minutes from Orlando, Daytona and Melbourne and was just a few miles off I-95. Plus, it had an incredible majestic oak tree, a peaceful pond and a barn. It fit their criteria exactly.
Once purchased, they immediately began fine tuning it into the Blueberry Barn you see today. First, came remodeling the existing barn to be a much better blueberry farming facility. It had to have heat and air conditioning for farming purposes. No expense was spared, including installing a WiFi controlled surround sound system and a projector with huge screen so that they could introduce and educate the public on blueberry farming.
Yet remodeling the Barn was just the beginning of their vision. Next came the manicuring of the ceremony area. They added a pergola, big wooden cross, huge entrance doors, communion table, flowering jasmine posts that held up string lights, a paver aisle, pews and decorations in front of the extraordinary oak tree.
Then, came all the little details like a white boat at the pond, an authentic Cinderella Carriage and the very rare, fully restored 1956 Studebaker Truck, capping off what became the most picture-spot-rich wedding barn venue you’d find perhaps anywhere in the country, at the time.
Then, due to the enormous popularity, and the fact that nearly every single available date on the Blueberry Barn’s calendar was booked, along came the Peach Barn (also in Central Florida), the Ranch (South Florida) and then the Vineyard in North Florida. Unlike most Barns which started off as family owned properties and then were later updated to host weddings, Ever After Farms were chosen specifically for being the perfect wedding settings. While the pictures, videos and 3D virtual tours depict stunning farms, there’s nothing quite like seeing them in person. Book Your Tour Today!
